Cirrus clouds in all directions
Cloud school
A toad (bufo bufo) trying to escape my hand to resume its hunt through a Swedish forest floor.
Bufo can also secrete poisonous substances from its head as such I washed my hands after holding it.
One animal that doesn’t care about the toad’s toxicity is the grass snake (natrix natrix) that will devour the toad alive – poison glands and all!

A bit about me
Thomas Heising here!
I’m originally from Denmark, but now living in Cork, Ireland and working with visual science communication. You may have found this post because you were curious about this page or wanted to know more about the topic at hand – in any case: welcome.
There are more writings, visuals and videos around here about geology, the weather, our planet, Ireland, Denmark and other things that interest me.
