A toad (bufo bufo) trying to escape my hand to resume its hunt through a Swedish forest floor.

Bufo can also secrete poisonous substances from its head as such I washed my hands after holding it.

One animal that doesn’t care about the toad’s toxicity is the grass snake (natrix natrix) that will devour the toad alive – poison glands and all!
